IT’S SUMMERTIME. IT’S HOT. I DON’T WANT MY OVEN ON.
*Instant Pot has entered the chat.*
If you aren’t using your Instant Pot (I know there are many of you out there that haven’t taken theirs out of their boxes!), you are missing out. If you aren’t using it in the dead of summer heat, you’re really missing out.
Imagine cooking a balanced, family-friendly meal, all in one pot? And you don’t have to stand over the stove watching it bubble and boil? Yes please!
5 FAMILY FRIENDLY INSTANT POT MEALS
Not only do I want easy meals in the Instant Pot in my recipe index, but it’s a major bonus if everything can be made in the one pot. These are 5 family favourites that are balanced, complete meals all made in the Instant Pot (or your pressure cooker of choice!).
If you don’t have an Instant Pot yet, I cannot recommend them enough. I use mine constantly, and I’m insanely jealous that it now comes in all the fun colours shown below!
SHOP INSTANT POT
I no longer buy greek yogurt, thanks to being able to make it from home (shameless plug, my recipe is THE BEST and so easy!). It makes soups an absolute breeze and a speedy meal. I roast chicken, make fall off the bone tender ribs and even baked a cake in it once.
Basically, it’s an appliance I’d go out and buy in a heartbeat if it broke down on me!
I use the 6qrt 7in1 Duo Instant Pot, because it has the yogurt setting on it. There are multiple sizes and features out there, but I’ve found the 6qrt is what most recipes are based off. I can fit an entire chicken in it or 2 full racks of ribs, no problem, to give an idea of physical size.
