With the warmer months coming (in this hemisphere anyway!) I figured it was time for me to share my fave …
HAVE YOU EVER HAD QUINOA GRANOLA? BECAUSE IF NOT, YOU’RE MISSING OUT!
Yes, that’s right – Quinoa. Superfood and grain extraordinaire that you are using to cooking in water like rice. Except in the granola you use it raw, and it turns into these crispy crunchy little bits that work perfectly!
I decided to get experimenting to create my own recipe. After some trial and error, I’ve found the perfect, easy combo for a slightly sweet, nutty granola that I’m sure you’ll all love!
IT’S THAT QUESTION I DREAD: “WHAT SHOULD WE HAVE FOR DINNER?”
Or, how it seems to have adapted into, “What’s for dinner?” – insert eye roll emoji here.
Meal planning wasn’t something I ever saw myself doing before having a toddler, and yet it’s become something that massively helps me in my weekly schedule. I am one of those people who loves routine, but doesn’t want to feel like I’m living for my routine if that makes sense (can you tell I’m a Gemini!?). Meal planning always seemed so… involved.
IT’S BEEN A WEIRD, WEIRD WORLD THESE LAST FEW MONTHS FRIENDS. WITH THE START OF A NEW SCHOOL YEAR AMONGST US, HELLOFRESH IS HERE TO GIVE US ALL A LITTLE HELPING HAND.
I’m thrilled to be partnering with HelloFresh on this post; HelloFresh is a meal plan service I have used before, and have had some wonderful experiences with! If you haven’t considered the service before, now is a perfect time (plus check out the amazing discount below!). Keep reading to find out my experience with using the service, as well as see which meals were our favourites!
IT’S SUMMERTIME. IT’S HOT. I DON’T WANT MY OVEN ON.
*Instant Pot has entered the chat.*
If you aren’t using your Instant Pot (I know there are many of you out there that haven’t taken theirs out of their boxes!), you are missing out. If you aren’t using it in the dead of summer heat, you’re really missing out.
Imagine cooking a balanced, family-friendly meal, all in one pot? And you don’t have to stand over the stove watching it bubble and boil? Yes please!
2020 MIGHT JUST BE KNOWN (AMONGST OTHER THINGS) AS THE YEAR EVERYONE TRIED TO BECOME A BREAD BAKER.
Some of you may have even ventured into making sourdough starters, which is something I actually did about a year ago. Since then, I’ve explored a few different recipes for yummy uses for my sourdough starter besides just sourdough bread (which I’ve also been baking like crazy).
One of my favourite recipes, and possibly one of the easiest is for these artisan sourdough crackers…
MELT IN YOUR MOUTH MERINGUES WITHOUT EGG WHITES.
I know it sounds strange because meringues have always been made of egg whites. Heck, that is what meringue IS! But what if I told you, that you could make these delightful little, melt in your mouth, treats with a secret ingredient you likely have in your pantry already? And it’s got no dairy in sight!
This recipe makes the perfect little Easter treat, or make them larger in a nest shape, fill with fruit and whipped cream and have the lightest, sweet dessert!
