Hello!
I’m Jaime, and I may or may not have a personal goal to try every mascara ever made. It’s an illness I tell you.
I am a long time beauty industry enthusiast and no stranger to the beauty blogging world. My love affair with makeup started when I was 13, and my grandmother took me to MAC and bought me my first eyeshadow and lipstick. The eyeshadow was Fade and the lipstick Lucid (a hideous frosty baby blue and a vampy chestnut brown…. don’t judge, it was the 90’s). From that moment on, I was hooked.
Out of highschool, I would work freelance with local photographers doing the makeup for the odd jobs and photo shoots here and there. I was determined to become a makeup artist, but at the time the industry was extremely hard to crack and wasn’t paying the bills. Then life took me in a different direction when I discovered my love of jewellery. This led me to become a metalsmith, creating my own jewellery brand, which I designed and created all by hand, shipping pretty pieces all over the world!
The makeup love never disappeared though, instead expanding into an obsession with skincare as well. In 2013, on the verge of turning 30, I decided to take a chance and start writing about my love of all things pretty. And so my journey into blogging began. First with beauty and then growing into so much more.
At the end of 2017, my most rewarding and terrifying adventure to date began; I became a mom.
Along the way, I’ve shared some of my biggest life moments. I opened up about being in an emotionally abusive relationship. I’ve talked candidly about my struggles as a new mom, and a colicky baby. I’ve written about what it means to be a content creator in your 30s and I’ve recommended some amazing products that people still message me to tell me they love.
We’re 6 years in, and it’s just getting better folks. So here I am, blogging about makeup and other pretty things.
Join me, won’t you? I think we could discover great things together!
