Finally a Full Coverage, Longwear, Hydrating Foundation | Fenty Pro Filt’r
FULL COVERAGE AND HYDRATING AREN’T OFTEN WORDS THAT ARE PUT TOGETHER IN THE FOUNDATION SCOPE.
I’m guessing it must be hard to formulate such a unicorn product; Coverage, a skin-like appearance, longevity and a texture that doesn’t immediately dry down super flat. It’s a lot to ask for… but Fenty has delivered in a BIG way. Dry skinned girls rejoice, the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation nails it.

MY THOUGHTS: In a summer full of foundation launches, this definitely has risen to the top. I would most certainly agree that this is suitable for normal, dry and combo skin types. It gives a really natural finish that mimics skin without sinking into pores, fine lines or clinging to texture. Moreso, it sets nicely, with very minimal transfer.
Unlike many hydrating formulas, I don’t find the Pro Filt’r moved around through the day, or wear away. It gives a gorgeous finish that had the longevity of a matte foundation. It also builds up beautifully, which is something Fenty did well with the original Pro Filt’r (read my review here).
I have no issues with this clogging my pores or oxidizing weirdly throughout the day. It applies evenly with brush, sponge or fingers, and works well over primers as well as just moisturized skin.
I wear the shade 190 currently, and 150 in the wintertime which suits my neutral, yellow leaning, skin tone really well.
Hi, I purchased the same foundation as I have dry skin but unlike your post, once I apply the foundation, it smudges easily and doesnt stay at all. I even tried urban decay makeup setting spray but it didn’t help. Can you please tell me how you make it work??
Have you tried setting it with a light setting powder? I usually do. Also, I am not a fan of setting sprays for the post part with hydrating foundations, I find it messes with the formula a bit. Also, do you apply with a brush or a sponge? I always use a brush, because again a wet sponge can change the formula.
