WHO WANTS TO TURN THEIR OVEN ON WHEN THE HEAT HITS?
I sure as heck don’t. Vancouver living means small square footage and things get toasty real fast. Buying an Instant Pot last year is still one of the best purchases I’ve made when it comes to easy meals in a fraction of the time they’d normally take. Whole rotisserie chicken in 18 minutes? No problem. Decadent mac and cheese in 5 minutes? Yes please! I get that pressure cookers can be super intimidating though, which is why I’ve compiled 5 easy, beginner-friendly recipes that my own family adores.
This mac and cheese couldn't be easier! You'll never want to make the boxed stuff again once you taste this rich, indulgent dish that only has a handful of ingredients. Recently I made this with wheel shaped pasta and my toddler cleaned her bowl. Now THAT is the marker of a success to me!
What if I told you that you that the most tender, pull off the bone ribs could be done in about 22 minutes? This recipe is SO tasty, and cuts the painfully slow process of ribs down to a fraction. Lather them in suace after and broil for a few minutes and you've got serious finger licking on the menu!
This is possibly one of my favourite recipes I've discovered this year! Super easy, tasty and great for an easy dinner. I would suggest doubling the bacon though, and serving with some shredded cheddar to get that loaded baked potato vibe going.
What if I told you that you could do a rotisserie chicken in about 20 minutes in your Instant Pot? We love this recipe; It offers the most tender, juicy chicken. I've even been known to put the chicken in semi frozen and just add a couple more minutes on the clock. Comes out perfect, every time!
