You guys, I’m about to admit something that might have me knocked down a couple points in beauty blogger status: I rarely make time for face masks or facial treatments. When I say “Rare”, what I probably should say is that unless I am testing it out for review purpose, I’m probably not incorporating it into my weekly life. Here’s the thing though, up until recently I worked a day job on top of this blog, and I am currently 9 months pregnant and soon to be a new mum. So taking the time for ‘me’ didn’t really exist, and I’m guessing it doesn’t for many others out there. Now that I am going to be a new mom, I know time is going to be even more scarce. So when I heard about two new products, AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Overnight Hydrating Facial and POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial I was beyond excited to try them out!
I’ve used overnight masks before and loved them for the ‘apply and forget about it’ approach. So seeing I can get one from a trusted brand like AVEENO® right at the drugstore is awesome! The concept of 60 second in shower mask was so unique to me! Who doesn’t have 60 seconds in the shower to give their skin some TLC? Aveeno uses soy as part of their total face care regimen. The formulations are uniquely created to target 5 Factors of Radiance®: tone, texture, dullness, blotchiness, and brown spots.

Overnight Hydrating Facial Review
The concept of the Overnight Hydrating Facial is super simple: Apply instead of your regular night cream! The texture is a super lightweight gel-cream texture that feels hydrating and cooling to apply. I cleansed my skin and then smoothed an even layer onto my face and it sank in really quickly. If you have dry skin like me, you are probably used to a much richer texture. Oilier complexions will probably appreciate the satin finish it leaves! I have tried some overnight masks that literally had my head sticking to my pillow, so it was a nice to be sleep ready right after applying!
I had wondered if it would be as hydrating as I needed it to due to the light formula, but I woke up with smooth, soothed skin! Since you can apply this 2-3 times a week, it fits into any busy lifestyle.
I had no issues with clogged pores or residue like some heavier masks can leave. The scent is kind of botanical and fruity and once I applied it and it sank in it was undetectable.

60 Second In-Shower Facial Review
As mentioned I love the concept of a facial in the shower! The 60 Second In-Shower Facial is geared for all skin types, claiming not only to be oil-free but also non-drying. It is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) formula, which is what helps exfoliate dead skin cells, dirt and grime which reveals smooth and radiant skin. I’ve had good luck with AHA products in the past, so I had a feeling I would like this!
The idea is that of a scrub and mask in one; The formula has a mild grittiness to it. You massage it into your face once wet from the shower and then leave for 60 seconds before washing it away. The steam in your shower works with the product to allow it to penetrate deep into your pores. Just like the Overnight Hydrating Facial, the 60 Second In-Shower Facial has a fruity, fresh scent that I find invigorating in the shower. My face felt baby smooth after using it and since it packs quite a punch, using it 1-2 times a week is easy to find the time for!
I love that Aveeno launched two different at-home facial products right as the weather is changing. I always find a change in climate affects my complexion. Having these readily available in the drugstore at an affordable price means I can keep them stocked in my shower and vanity all year round! If you’ve ever felt like your skin needs some TLC, but just haven’t been able to squeeze in some ‘me time’ (who can these days!?) you’re going to want to pick up one, or both of these Aveeno game changers. When you can get some facial pampering in the shower or while you sleep, there are no more excuses!
