    May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon Review

    IT’S SPENDY… BUT DAMNIT, IT’S AMAZING.

I cringe a little when writing a post on a single product with a price tag such as May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon, yet here I am. For me, it’s a cure’s what ails you super balm that just makes life better. Okay, possibly a bit dramatic, but my skin responds to it in a way that gives me peace in the thought of ageing gracefully. Yes, it sounds glorious because it genuinely is.

    May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon Review

WHAT I THINK: I have now been using May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon for years, and I can say with great honesty that it is heaven in a jar. I reach for it multiple times a week; Post retinol, when my skin is ‘freaking’ out, when I have dryness, active breakouts. You name it, and I’m reaching for Blue Cocoon.

The waterless balm is full of oils that become the ultimate comfort for your skin. Each batch is still made by hand, and the love and attention shows. Ingredients like blue tansy hold incredible anti-inflammatory abilities. You’ve got camellia, frankincense and myrrh oils to add to the antioxidant and antiseptic nature, and marula oil containing vitamin C. Blue Cocoon works for a myriad of skin concerns from rosacea to acne, redness, extreme dryness, unbalanced complexion and delicate sensitive types.

It took me 2 years to completely use up my first jar of Blue Cocoon; You only need a small pea-sized amount to massage into your face and neck. While the best before date would never support usage that long, it stayed fresh and potent as the day I got it and kept it’s heavenly blue hue. The lush aromatherapy aroma alone makes me feel like I went for a luxury spa facial.

The morning after a Blue Cocoon evening is a good skin day. I wake up looking plump, even, fresh and glowing. If I had breakouts, they already seem to be healing. If I had dry patches, they bit the dust. If I was red, sore or angry from an aggressive product or reaction, you’d never know it.

Basically, it’s a wonder balm worthy of its price, if you ask me.
