The Amazingly Creamy Eyeliner You Can Find at the Drugstore

I am such a snob when it comes to eyeliner. I need something that applies smoothly without skipping but absolutely does not smudge or fade. Apparently, it’s quite hard to find this winning combo, and near impossible at a drugstore price point. The formulas that have a creamy glide, migrate all over the place. The formulas that last all day, often are waxy and lack pigment.  When it comes to finding a great eyeliner pencil at the drugstore, however, Pixi Beauty might just have nailed it!

Nothing irks me more than an eyeliner pencil that lacks pigment and applies like it’s already faded several hours. Sadly, I find more drugstore varieties do just this. Imagine my surprise to see how richly pigmented the Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pens are!? They are a gel formula, and truly do feel like gel eyeliner in a pencil delivery. Unlike a potted gel, however, these offer a bit of ‘play’ time where you can buff and manipulate the pigment before they set. While a traditional gel formula tends to patch and flake the minute you try and build and buff it out, the pigment in these stretches significantly!

I consider myself a bit of an eye pencil aficionado and have tried more than I’d like to admit. Rarely, do I find a formula that is rich enough to use in the tightline and waterline, but also glide along the lid smoothly. I love the fact that I can use this for both applications and not have to worry about smearing. Your girl has seriously watery eyes! Similarly, thanks to said watery eyes, I often find waterproof eyeliner flakes on the outer corners for me and this holds up on that challenge as well!

The formula comes in satin, metallic and matte finishes. My fave of the entire shade range is Black Cocoa, a rich dark chocolate that gives the drama without the coldness of black. I will say that my main gripe is the shade range; I want more!
