5 best blushes of 2017

[dropcap]B[/dropcap]y now you all know the deal; I’m spotlighting my favourites from 2017 (I realize its almost March at time of post, but gimme a break, I just had a baby!). I named my 5 favourite primers, foundations and bronzers and now I’m moving on to one of my favourite products of all: Blush. Some of these were new for 2017, and others were old favourites that still shine bright like a diamond!

Top 5 Favourite Blushes for 2017

My complexion:  Light (MAC NC20-25) with neutral-yellow undertones.

My blush prerequisites: I’m partial to peachy, coral and peachy pink blushes. I’m down with shimmer and matte formulas (Glitter need not apply, however!) but they need to be long-wearing as my dry skin eats blush for lunch.

Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Blush in Glisten

Available at Sephora | Ulta | Tarte Cosmetics

You may remember me dedicating a significant portion of my (faux) pregnancy glow to this blush. Think infamous NARS Orgasm minus the random glitter specs and a significantly longer lasting formula.

Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Baby Love*

Available at Sephora | Ulta | Macy’s

This is for the neutral lovers that don’t want something too brown. Besides super cute packaging, the formula on these is beautiful; Buttery smooth, uber pigmented and lasts all day. This is my “I-don’t-know-what-blush-to-wear” blush.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat*

Available at Sephora | Nordstrom | Beautylish

The Hourglass blushes are stunning, but this shade is my favourite. Thing a luminous coral poppy that gives life to your complexion without being super shimmery or glittery. Don’t worry if it looks bright in the pan; These melt into the skin beautifully!

5 best blushes of 2017

Benefit Galifornia Boxed Blush

Available at Sephora | Ulta | Look Fantastic

I first reviewed this blush here and claimed it would be the blush of the summer and it totally was for me. A true pale peach with the most subtle golden sheen running through it, Galifornia totally hits my undying love for anything peach/coral. Unlike some of the other Benefit Boxed Blushes, this one lasts all day on me without going patchy.

Ciate London Glow-To Illuminating Blush in Date Night

Available at Sephora | Look Fantastic | ASOS

This is the newest addition to my blush collection and it was love at first swatch! The Ciate blushes are a harder pressed formula, so there is no powdery kick up or chalky finish. Date Night is a warm amber pink that brightens up my complexion and melts into the skin with no work needed. I’m going to go ahead and say this was one of my best finds of 2017… there I said it!
