The annual Sephora VIB Rouge sale was earlier this month and I
might have gone a bit… wild. Since starting Girl Loves Gloss several years ago, I have been much more controlled when it comes to spending on beauty. With baby arriving any day (seriously – any day now kid!) I can’t really remember the last time I bought myself something. So I figured now was the time to pick up some things I’d been wanting for ages before all my money gets spend on diapers and wipes! Keep reading to see which products I am already loving, and which went back.
Sephora VIB Rouge Haul 2017
No lie, I bought this for the tin alone. How freaking adorable is it?? The products inside are gorgeous as well of course; Muse is a beautiful matte muted rose with matching (full size) Lip Contour. The Lip Strobe shade, Angelic, is a stunning peachy rose duochrome gloss.
This was a love at first use product! Primerizer is a hybrid of moisturizer and primer and it’s so hydrating and smoothing on the skin. If you’re a dry skin girl like me, then you need to get this in your life asap!
I’ve been wanting another shade of this bronzer for a long time. I raved about it recently here, and Diffused Bronze Light is a slightly cooler, more sculpting shade. I’m completely in love with this formula and don’t regret this purchase one bit!
This is a repurchase that I love to keep around for times when my skin goes a bit crazy. It’s a gentle lightweight cream cleanser that is perfect for those days where you’re extra sensitive or reactive.
Another product I’ve been wanting for ages – surprise surprise, it’s a peach blush. I was a bit disappointed in the ratio of highlight to blush in this; I wanted more peach and less gold. These types of baked products are a bit of the luck of the draw and when you order online you don’t get the benefit of checking the box. Having said that, it’s still stunning and makes a gorgeous blush topper as well. I’ve already got my eye on another shade!
I’m a big fan of this formula and own several shades. I’ve had my eye on Fahrenheit for ages and its a gorgeous rose gold laced bronze. These make amazing last finishing touches to add some sparkle to a matte eye, or alone as a wash.
I had fallen in love with this shade during the spring but thought it was a limited edition shade. So naturally, when I saw it in store I grabbed it! Bumpy Ride is a nice warm pink that brightens up the cheeks perfectly.
One of the few products I haven’t tried yet because swatches and review will be coming soon. The shades are stunning but I am leery of the texture being quite powdery. Stay tuned for this one!
Finally, I found a shade of this concealer that works for my skin tone! I’m not sure I find it as revolutionary as many seem to claim, but it makes a nice undereye concealer that gives a bit of brightness as well.
Ok, where has this been all my life?! My skin has been extra dry and dull looking lately and this makes it look amazing! I love that I can pop it on with my hands, or a brush if I want more coverage. Speaking of which, the coverage in this is much more than I would ever expect with something titled a ‘tinted moisturizer’.
Sadly, this was a complete fail for me. I was honestly shocked because the reviews have been amazing. I don’t find it hydrating one bit, it leaves actual glitter on my face and doesn’t play well with primers and foundations. Sadly, this has already gone back!
Yet another repurchase! This powder is magic for setting undereye concealer; It brightens and keeps everything from creasing without looking cakey or dry. I’ve been through so many of these!
