10 Amazing Beauty Buys for Under $15
So it’s January and you’re old wallet might be feeling a little empty. It’s the time of year when people are undoubtedly feeling a bit spent and it’s a tad harder to justify a new beauty purchase. So naturally I’ve compiled a list of ten great makeup products that cash in under $15. You’re welcome!
Rimmel takes the base awards here contributing powder, foundation and bronzer to the mix. The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is a great choice for dull winter complexions, and the Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent keeps things in place, but not chalky and dusty like most pressed powders. Warming things up, the Natural Bronzer in shade 022 Sun Bronze is both matte and waterproof.
Brushes will be no surprise, Real Techniques wins for best brushes on a budget for sure. Two of my favourites are the Expert Face Brush for foundation and the Setting Brush, which I use to spot powder and set my under eyes. The shape and fluffyness of this brush really makes it unique in my eyes.
For eyes on a budget I recently reviewed the NYC Liquid Eyeliner . Its black, its matte, not more to say really. It pairs beautifully with one of my all time favourite and mentioned far too often around here eyeshadows, the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush, a gorgeous rose gold. Mascara comes in two forms – either my ultimate fave the L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Lash in Waterproof, of it you’re not a waterproof kinda girl then the Essence I Heart Extreme Crazy Volume is all kinds of volumizing good. Brows can get a taming in the form of the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara. The unique ball shaped wand means not too much product hangs around and brows don’t go extra crispy. Eww.
Finally lips goes to The Body Shop’s Colour Crush Lipstick, which my favourite shade being #18 (think bright coral I just ate a popsicle) These lippies have a glossy sheer colour that leaves the lips feeling moisturized and the ability to wear bright without being bright, if you catch my drift.
