[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f you’re a dry skin girl like me, a setting spray can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Some formulas leave your face feeling tight like you’ve lost control of your hairspray. Others leave polka dots thanks to poor mist distribution. When it comes to that final step, I want something that sets my makeup in place, cuts the powdery/cakey look from my foundation and if possible gives me that natural bare skin glow. Too much to ask? Apparently not, because I’ve found three!
Top 3 Setting Sprays for Dry Skin or Those Who Love to Glow
I’ve tried loads of setting sprays to put them to the test to see which ones keep that summertime glow the best. Wanna look like you’ve got that bare-faced youth glow thing going? These are for you!
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist*
The OG of glow-getting setting sprays, this bad boy has ‘dewy’ in the name and it delivers! The purple ombre glass bottle is stunning, and the nozzle dispenses a super fine mist. When it comes to pricing, this is definitely luxury, but you need so little of this to get your glow on that the value is actually really good. This isn’t a spray to bathe yourself; Even my dry skin can look a bit too dewy if I spray too much of this!
Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Perfect Skin Set & Refresh Mist
A powerhouse multiuse spray that not only sets makeup and refreshes it but also offers major skincare benefits. It’s formulated with antioxidants, collagen amino acids and vitamin C with an anti-pollution complex in a micellar delivery system so it can penetrate through makeup! While the mist isn’t the finest on this spray, it doesn’t leave any telltale wet dots on my face. I love the way it makes even full coverage look more natural and glowy, and like the Tatcha, a little goes a long way. This will take a flat matte foundation straight to dewy!
CoverFx Dewy Finish Setting Spray*
This is the most amazing mist on it – it’s almost undetectable! It doesn’t impart quite as much luminosity as the others, so you can afford to be a little bit more liberal with spraying. CoverFx does loads of targeted setting sprays now, but this one is easily my favourite. It prolongs my makeup and cuts the dry look of setting powder just enough for days where I don’t want loads of shine but still need something.
