Last week it was all about my top 5 favourite foundations of 2017. Today, it’s all about popping those cheekbones and slimming that jaw with bronzers and contours. Bronzer is something I’m extremely picky about. The right contouring shade takes me from looking like a potato to having actual cheekbones. I tried a stupid amount of products in 2017, and I’m rounding up my top pics for them all. Keep reading to find out my top 5 and why they made the cut!

Top 5 Bronzer & Contours of 2017
My complexion: Light (MAC NC20-25) with neutral-yellow undertones.
My bronzer/contour prerequisites: Bronzers need to be neutral or even rosy toned to look good on me. Anything too golden makes me look jaundiced. Contouring powder can’t be too taupe or it makes me look sallow.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Diffused Bronze Light
Hourglass possibly makes the most gorgeous range of bronzers on the market in my opinion. With warm and cool tones, there is really something for everyone. I own two shades but haven’t been able to put down Diffused Bronze Light since I bought it several months ago. It gives my cheeks a gorgeous sculpted look whilst not looking flat or sallow. I swear every time I wore this when I was pregnant someone commented how incredible it was that I hadn’t gained any weight in my face… I totally had but this was working for me!
Tarte Park Avenue Princess Matte Waterproof Bronzer
My favourite bronzer of all time for reliability and continuity. I’ve written about the formula, finish, undertone and longevity countless times. I will never, not have this in my collection.
Smashbox Step by Step Contour Kit*
When it comes to easy all in one option for contouring, bronzing and highlighting with a matte finish, this is IT. The formula is silky smooth and pigmented and doesn’t cling or go patchy. When it comes to choosing something to take on travels, Smashbox is the way to go!
Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Contour Powder in Light*
This is a cult classic and there’s good reason; The tone of these are strictly meant for contouring (available in Light, Medium and Dark) and truly mimic natural shadow. The formula and texture is smooth and is pressed hard which means its hard to pick up too much product and give yourself taupe coloured zebra stripes.
Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color in S116*
The best part of this is the ability to choose your own shade and make your own little compact! Pair with a blush, highlighter or two shades of contouring in a warm and a cool for ultimate blending! I love this system to bits, you can read my review here.
