Glowing on the Go With Tarte
Yep, more Tarte and I’m not even sorry about it. The brand is on fire, and knocking out new releases like the apocalypse is coming! I do love that Tarte is balancing the line with smaller, more makeup bag-friendly products. While most brands are launching 6+ shade contour and highlight palettes (and Tarte has done so as well here) I’m refreshed to see something without a bunch of shades I’ll never dip my brush into. The Tarteist Pro Glow to Glo Highlight and Contour Palette has a bronzing/sculpting powder and two highlighters and fits right in the palm of my hand!
TARTE COSMETICS TARTEISTÂ PRO GLOW TO GO PALETTE
THE PACKAGING
love the sleek little housing that Tarte has given Pro Glow to Go. It’s made of heavy-duty card with a matte black finish and gold foil detailing that makes it look luxe even though it’s a ‘mini’ palette. Even more so, I love that Tarte paid attention to the little details and put a mirror on this!
THE SHADES
This little palette is SO handy you guys. If your look isn’t complete without a touch of bronze and some shimmer, then you should order this asap. I love that Tarte chose two distinctly different highlighting shades here; ‘Burst’ is a satin yellow based with more refined shimmer, while ‘Gleam’ is a cooler pink with more of a metallic finish. I personally adore the yellow ‘Burst’ shade! It gave me an instant, “damn that’s pretty!” moment! I prefer ‘Gleam’ on my eyes; It makes a gorgeous shadow.
As for the contouring shade, ‘Chisel’ I would say that it is more of a sculpting bronzer rather than a true contour powder. It certainly gave me the shape I wanted to my face, but doesn’t have that cool or neutral undertone that a traditionally contouring product would have. I really like the way it looked on my light-medium skin, which isn’t a surprise as Park Avenue Princess is my favourite bronzer of all time!
THE FORMULA
As I’ve come to expect with Tarte, the formula on all three of these powders is smooth and pigmented. The bronzer has a rich velvety feel that picks up well on the brush and buffs out beautifully. The middle highlight ‘Burst’ applies so silky and gives a gorgeous non-frosty illumination that can build up intensely; It would be ideal for those who have texture issues. Having said that, if you’re the type that loves a highlighter with a bit more sparkle, then ‘Gleam’ most certainly will deliver!
FINAL THOUGHTS
IÂ really like the Tarte Pro Glow to Go Palette. The only think that would make me love it more is if the shade ‘Gleam’ was replaced with a blush shade – it would be the perfect face palette! I know the full sized contour palette is a mix of cream and powders and has gotten mixed reviews. I think the key to this working so well is that it narrows down the choices, sticks to one formula (powder) and is actually makeup bag sized for the everyday consumer. Kudos Tarte, I totally dig it!

I have not! The original didn’t get the greatest reviews so I was a bit turned off by this one. I do have two of the new Tarte highlighters I need to test out though so reviews will be coming of those soon.
Oh my gosh how have I not seen this product?!!? I actually really like the bronzer shade too since I tend to use warmer bronzers. I feel like this would be a really great eyeshadow palette – you could literally travel with this guy and not need anything else. Thanks for sharing!!
