Tarte Don’t Quit Your Day Dream Palette
You guys, Tarte has been killing it with what I like to call these little ‘micro palettes’ lately! I raved about the Maneater Palette recently and today I’m talking about the sweetly named Don’t Quit Your Day Dream Palette. If you love warm neutrals like golds, champagnes, chocolate and ivory then you’re going to want to read this one!

“Simply put, Tarte has nailed it again!”
Unlike it’s sister Maneater, Don’t Quit Your Day Dream is a little less dramatic with more ‘daytime’ shadows. I actually think the two palettes compliment each other really well, so if you’re debating getting both I fully endorse that decision ;-). I’ve not stopped wearing this since it showed up on my desk! I am also happy to report that the quality of these shadows is top notch; Buttery soft and pigmented, but also build on themselves without getting patchy or over blended. Simply put, Tarte has nailed it again!
Tarte Don’t Quit Your Day Dream Palette
While this palette doesn’t have as many deep shades as Maneater, it’s so incredibly perfect for day to day wear. I love that Tarte’s pale highlight shades are always super pigmented and opaque; They make a great all over base. Shades like Loveee are beautiful as a transition shade in the crease (it may not look as pigmented in the swatch but picks up on a brush better). Shades Werk and Runway are simply stunning together and add dimension as needed. The larger frosty Shine On has a bit of sparkle in it that really catches the light, yet doesn’t look like you’ve dusted yourself in glitter.
SHADE BREAKDOWN
- Rock On – Satin cream ivory
- Visionary – Peach ivory shimmer
- Loveee – Matte Tan
- Boss Lady – Gold shimmer
- Strive – Rosy peach shimmer
- Runway – Satin rusty brown
- Werk – Chocolate matte brown
- Shine On – Pale yellow gold frost.
Like most Tarte shadows, these kick up quite a bit when you put your brush down. Having said that, the pigment is 100% there, so you really don’t need to aggressively swirl your brush as you would with a harder formula. I find sometimes shadows like this blend away to nothing on the lid, but Tarte’s formula really sticks down well and keep it’s colour!
I LOVE that Tarte has been coming out with some of these smaller, palm-sized palettes. They’re makeup bag friendly, come in really nice sturdy packaging and have a decent sized mirror in them. The brand really seems to be putting out well-curated colour choices lately; There really isn’t a shade that is out of place here!
So as you all can tell: I’m a fan. I think Tarte has really been upping it’s game in terms of continuity with formulation from palette to palette recently. As a consumer it’s ideal and I wish more brands did that with limited edition collections especially. I adore the name of this palette as well; Don’t Quit Your Day Dream is sweet and uplifting (and not as cringe to say as ‘Maneater’ if I’m honest!)
The only downside is that Don’t Quit Your Day Dream and Maneater are both limited edition, so don’t sit back and wait if you’re keen on these palettes friends!

I love Tarte’s eyeshadow formula. I have the In Bloom and Pro To Go and they are probably my most reached for palettes. Thanks for this look at the newer palettes!
