This Just In : Tata Harper Purifying Mask

Tata Harper Purifying Mask Review
I was recently asked if i wanted to try the newest offering from skincare goddess Tata Harper, and naturally I answered with a quick, “heck yeah!”. Geared as a deep cleansing detox treatment, the Tata Harper Purifying Mask was exactly what I needed last week when my skin decided to rebel on me. So, I slathered the rosy-pink mask on my face and put it to work, all the while taking notes for you all!

Housed in the classic Tata frosted green packaging (you’ve no doubt seen me to refer to my collection as the Emerald City), Purifying Mask claims to minimize the appearance of aging caused by exposure to pollution, as well as purge buildup from the surface of the skin with its probiotic power and white clay base. Also in true Tata Harper style, it is 100% free of synthetics, toxins, fillers, artificial fragrances and colours and Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free.
The actual mask itself is almost a calamine lotion-esque pink, and has a strong medicinal scent. You can smooth it on with your fingers, or a flat foundation-style brush works really well for application. A thick layer left on for 10-20 minutes, then rinsed with cold water is the prescription here, and you can expect a very tingly cooling feeling on your face while it does it’s thing (don’t worry, not in that ‘eating your face off’ way!). This is definitely not one of those masks where you wonder if it’s actually doing anything!
After 20 minutes I rinsed it off and removed the residue with a washcloth to reveal refreshing skin that had definitely purged – the tiny clogged pores along my nose and chin has made their way right up to the surface of the skin! My skin also felt firmed, like it was absorbing my nighttime skin routine so much more and despite the minty feel I experiences no redness or irritation, which I am normally very sensitive to.

Tata Harper’s Purifying Mask definitely delivers what it says on the tin: purged and detoxed skin. My only caveats being that the scent was a tad strong for my liking and that the 1fl oz pot wouldn’t last long if you wanted to use this as a full face facial treatment. I would recommend keeping this to congested zones as it really does great work expelling blackheads, clogged pores and breakouts. I can see myself reaching for this plenty when the weather gets warmer (it’s sooo cooling feeling!) and all that sunscreen/sweat/grime likes to wreak havoc on my poor face.
Do you like using clay based masks? What’s your favourite purifying/detox mask?
