Sunday Steals | Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige
I love a good bargain as much as the next gal – even better when it prices in at under a tenner. Not only is this Sunday Steal a complete dupe for a higher price tagged brand, but it’s been my go-to everyday easy eye look several times in the last couple of weeks.
It’s no secret that these little pots of cream shadow goodness are popular amongst the beauty community (shades like Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze leading the way) but this newer shade is a complete dupe for the more than twice the price Mac PaintPot in Groundwork. I’m talking about Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige – a mid tone camel brown that works so well all over the lid for a one shadow look, or blended with other colours.
Like another neutral in the line, Tough as Taupe, this is a matte finish which makes it unique in the cream shadow world. You can see in the swatch comparison above that Creamy Beige almost makes Tough as Taupe look grey in comparison. While I like them both, Creamy Beige wins hands down for usability for me.
The Color Tattoos are creaseless cream shadows that come housed in a glass jar like many of their higher end counterparts. While some of the shades are duds (like some of the brighter colours) the neutrals are pretty safe in this line and make great bases or can be worn alone.
I paid $6.99 CND on sale for this, but they range in price in Canada, the US and the UK.
