Buxom Wanderlust Primer Infused Blush
I’M A BLUSH LOVER. IT’S ALSO THE PRODUCT THAT SEEMS TO DISAPPEAR THE FASTEST ON ME.
My skin just seems to eat blush, with many cult classic brands just not cutting it and leaving me blushless by noon. I mean, I just can’t have that you know? I look like Mrs Potato Head without the stuff, so give me a rosy cheek that will last!
Buxom Wanderlust Primer Infused Blush is exactly what I look for in a blush; Pigmented, long-lasting, slightly luminous without being sparkly and it even prices in at under $30! I recently purchased my first and then Buxom were kind enough to send over a few more shades, and let’s just say, it was love at first blush!

WHAT THE BRAND CLAIMS: “A silky, primer-infused powder blush that locks in luminous, true colour for up to 12-hour wear. Extend your vacation glow with this primer-infused flush of colour. Hydrating hyaluronic acid and a colourless base allow the formula to seamlessly blend and flatter different skin tones, while multidimensional pearls create a luminous finish. Release a subtle, beachy scent with every stroke.”
THE PRICE: $29.50 CND
THE PACKAGING: Slim clear plastic, no mirror, housing 3.6 grams of product.
THE SHADES:
- SEYCHELLES* – a sandy nude
- MYKONOS* – a bright peach
- IBIZA* – a rosy pink
- DOLLY – a bronze mauve
- HAVANA – a pale rose pink
- GOA – a red berry
THE FORMULA: These blushes are powder, and have a relatively dry feel to them. The pick up on a brush easily without being powdery or dusty.
THE FINISH: Luminous, but with no visible sparkle or glitter.
WORTH NOTING: These have a slightly tropical coconut scent, that doesn’t linger once applied.
MY THOUGHTS: These blushes are a wonderful addition to my collection!
They really last all day on me and blend beautifully on my skin, regardless if I have powdered or not. The texture feels dry to the touch, but actually looks creamy as you blend it out, thanks to the pearly luminosity of the formula.
While slightly stiff in the pan, it’s easy to pick up on a brush and buff out. Don’t let how bold they look in the pan put you off; These are great for those who prefer a light or heavy (um, hello, that’s me) application alike because of how easy they blend.
I originally bought the shade Dolly, which is a gorgeous bronzey mauve that was unlike anything I had in my collection. The peach Mykonos was the one that first caught my eye (as a peach loving blush lover) so I was thrilled when Buxom sent it over along with Ibiza and Seychelles.
Out of the four I have, I wear Seychelles the least, simply as it’s just a bit too beige for my tastes. I do love to mix it a bit with Dolly as a rosy neutral.
If I had a single complaint about the Buxom Wanderlust Primer Infused Blushes, it would be that there aren’t more shades! While the collection has 6 right now, I would love to see a deeper neutral, bronze and perhaps even a highlighter in this formula.
