The Game Changing Treatment for Smooth, Radiant and Even Skin
IF YOU’RE NOT USING ACID, YOU’RE MISSING OUT.
In your skincare routine, of course 😉
We know I’m a huge fan of acids in my skincare routine; They not only are exfoliants but also can allow the skin to accept so much more hydration. As someone who gets flaky, dry and sensitized skin, a liquid product over a physical scrub is so much more superior. I use a glycolic acid toner every single day, but sometimes I just need more. That’s where the Neostrata Enlighten Dual Acid Brightening Peel comes in.
NEOSTRATA ENLIGHTEN DUAL ACID BRIGHTENING PEEL
Available at Well.ca | Shoppers Drug Mart
WHAT IS IT: 10% Glycolic Acid (AHA) and 10% Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) brightening peptide.
HOW IT WORKS: It’s a dual-action peel combining the smoothing of a chemical peel with the 10% Glycolic Acid and 10% Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) with a brightening peptide to target maximum radiance results.
HOW TO USE IT: Apply 1-3 times a week after cleansing, avoiding eye and lip area. Leave on for 15-20 minutes (totally normal to tingle slightly or make sensitive skin temporarily reddened). Then wash off, and follow up with a hydrating serum, oil/moisturizer.
MY SKIN TYPE: Dry, dehydrated, early fine lines and texture.
WHY I LOVE IT: I noticed results the very first time I used this product! My skin is dry, and now that I’m 36 I have fine lines and textured skin more (totally lame AF if you ask me!). The next morning I woke up with baby soft smooth skin, that was significantly more clear. Moreso, I felt like the stubborn breakout pigmentation I was frustrated by was almost gone over night!
As I mentioned, I use Glycolic Acid regularly. Sometimes the levels that are in toners and serums just aren’t enough. I always feel like Summer and Winter are two seasons that are hardest on my skin and I need the extra help battling texture especially. I’ve been using this now a few times a week for over a month, and I can always tell when I’ve been slacking; My skin lets me know it expects more. When I wash it off my skin instantly looks radiant and so clear!
I do have sensitive skin, and notice the faintest sting when I first apply, but it goes away within seconds. I personally haven’t noticed any redness, but it’s worth noting potential redness if you’ve never used acids before. I would do this on a night where you don’t have a special occasion the next day, just in case.
