Game Changing Products to Add to You Shower and Bath

Must have shower and bath products

IS YOUR SHOWER MISSING THESE GAME-CHANGING PRODUCTS?

Most showers are filled with the boring basics: shampoo, conditioner and some soap or body wash. Or in my case about 4 different versions of each (classic Gemini move!). Over the last couple of months though, I’ve added some game-changing products to my shower and bath routine that elevate things next level. As someone who’s suffered from Keratosis Pilaris since I was young, a couple of these have made loads of difference. Paired with an in-shower facial, a funky tool that takes shampooing to different heights and a couple of pre-shower treatments, these 5 products take efficiency to the max!

POST SHOWER/BATH TREATMENTS

If you suffer from dry scalp, especially in the colder or drier months as I do, you need this MoroccanOil Dy Scalp Treatment* in your life! Before you shampoo, massage drops of this treatment that is infused with lavender, geranium and argan oil in parted sections of your dry hair. Focus on the spots that tend to get flaky, like your hairline, and leave on for 5-10 minutes before getting hair wet and shampooing. While I let this work, I move on to my next product.

Let me tell you, I never even considered using a scrub outside of my shower. The Skinfix Resurface Glycolig Renewing Scrub* is specifically meant to be used in that way, however. Packing a one-two punch of physical and acid exfoliating, you use this on dry skin, before your shower and bath and focus on areas that have rough, bumpy or dry skin. I mainly use this on my arms and thighs to combat Keratosis Pilaris and massage this pasty scrub in circular motions where I need it most.

IN SHOWER/BATH MUST-HAVES

While in the shower or bath, I have been loving the Pixi Beauty In-Shower Steam Facial*. It warms up on your skin as you massage it in, and you leave it on while shampooing, conditioning, shaving your bits… however long you like. Once you rinse it off, hello smooth, soft, clear skin! It’s a bit magic if you ask me, and another major hit to come from Pixi’s skincare range. For those who never have time to mask, you’re going to love the multitasking ability here!

TOOLS THAT LEVEL UP IN SHOWER/BATH EFFICIENCY

Have you been using one of those phloofy pouf loofas that takes forever to dry (does it actually ever?). Same. Until I got my hands on a Salux Cloth and my, how the tables have turned! This is a dry skinned persons dream. It’s rough, but in a good way, and sloughs away dead skin you didn’t know you had. It’s long enough to hold one end in each hand to get your back and booty without looking like your auditioning for Cirque du Soleil. These are the exact Salux Cloths I buy, and they last for EVER.

My most recent purchase, and immediate love, is this Scalp Massager for shampooing my hair. You know when you’ve had your hair up and it literally hurts by the end of the day? Or when you’re shampooing your hair and feel like you just aren’t getting buildup and product cleansed out? This thing is AMAZING. I used it when I shampoo instead of digging my nails in to get to my scalp (which I recently learned is kind of a no-no given how much can lurk under your nails. Collective eww). It feels incredible, really gets the shampoo in there (ie, no more double washing) and my hair rinses super clean after. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough – it’s biggest perk? I swear my hair barely tangles out of the shower! I used to not be able to get a Wet Brush through without some detangler or leave-in. Now my waist-length fine hair just glides through. What is this sorcery!?
