Amongst the many, many new challenges that come with having a new baby and becoming a first-time parent, some were particularly surprising. One thing I didn’t expect to struggle with was the tole washing bottles would take on my hands. Even with gloves, the scalding hot water to make sure Everly’s bottles are spotless is so harsh. Even more so, when you have a little one and are changing diapers, wiping drool and cleaning up spit up frequently (all day, every day!) you find yourself washing your hands more than ever. My poor hands were like sandpaper at one point; I was finding tiny cuts and cracks and nothing seemed to give them relief. Enter in Dermakalm Hand and Contact Eczema Cream, and welcome back smooth, hydrated hands!

By the time I was given the chance to work with Dermakalm, I’d tried nothing short of 5 or 6 other creams. Every single one of them left something to be desired. Some were sticky, others felt like they never fully absorbed and one even stung… a lot. None of this was ideal considering I spend my days picking up a baby over and over. I can’t have her slipping right out of my grip, nor do I want to leave sticky hand cream on her bottles or pacifiers!

Dermakalm Hand and Contact Eczema Cream smoothed out the rough, gritty feel to my hands within a day or two of use. It was shocking how fast it worked. Even if it had taken longer though, the biggest win for me is how it applies; Dermakalm sinks in almost instantly. There’s no gluey, greasy or waxy feeling! A pea-sized amount does both hands and wrists. It leaves a soft, silky feeling that doesn’t leave tell-tale grimy prints on everything I touch.

Dermakalm Hand and Contact Eczema Cream is fragrance, paraben and corticosteroid-free. Not only does it provide relief for eczema but also contact dermatitis (think itching, dry or scaly skin, allergic contact dermatitis).  The hot water from washing Everly’s bottles made my hands tight and itchy, and this was so soothing without any tingle or thick waxy coating.
