Let’s get the obvious out of the way; This highlighting powder looks absolutely stunning in the pan. The 3D wave pattern almost makes it too pretty to use. The sleek black with rose gold star accented packaging is simply chic. While I was originally taken by the look of it, I figured I would pass because I truly needed another highlighting product like a hole in the head. But then everywhere I looked online, someone was raving about it, and I fell into the hype big time.

Besides the fact I truly didn’t need another highlighter, I was initially worried it would lean too yellow-gold on my MAC NC20-ish skin tone. Turns out those concerns were unfounded. This highlighter is absolutely freaking gorgeous people. Its more of a soft peachy champagne and applies much more neutral than I thought it would.

The sheen it gives the skin is glossy and glowing, rather than frosty and sparkly. It melts into my skin, and doesn’t accentuate fine lines like so many powder highlighters do on my dry skin. If you are new to the world of highlighting, this is the type of product that will instantly make you fall in love.

The texture of the powder itself is quite unique; It doesn’t kick up any dust when you dip your brush, but yet still feels silky to the touch. The brand says it can be worn wet or dry, so for all of you that want your highlight seen from space – this will do both! You almost don’t think the brush is picking up pigment, but then when you go to apply, it buffs in beautifully. I’ve even worn this as eyeshadow by patting it on with my finger and the results are stunning; You can build it up to fully opaque if you want or blend as a sheer wash.

So yes, I fell for the whole ‘limited edition beauty product hype’ when it comes to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter, but it was totally worth it. I’ve worn this every single day since I bought it and regret nothing! Speaking of hyped of products, I also bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette, so expect a review of that coming very soon. In the meantime, this product is limited edition, so I suggest if you don’t want to miss out, you snag it up now!
