One of the first things I hear when I tell people about facial oils is: “You put oil on your face!?!”. There’s a stigma attached to oils with many connecting oil to breakouts, but what most don’t understand is the difference between good oils and bad oils. Mineral oil? Bad (clogs pores, doesn’t absorb by the skin, is a cheap filler that has no skin benefits). Rosehip oil? Good (helps reduce ages/sun spots, hydrates and balances the skin). The second thing I hear is: “But I don’t like the feel of oil on my face!” and that is where NUDE ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil fits in friends. It’s the oil for people who don’t like, or are scared of oils. Let’s talk about that…
If you are new the NUDE Skincare as a brand, you can expect beautifully create products that are Vegan, Cruelty Free, and free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic colourants or fragrances, petrolatum or silicones. The ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil is an ultra sheer, natural, skin saving oil that revives and smoothes the texture of your skin with a natural retinol and organic, cold pressed rosehip oil. The Omega 3 and 6, and vitamin C formula nourishes as well as purifies with Coleus Root and organic rosemary extracts. It’s an antioxidant powerhouse that helps protect your skin from environmental stressors and repairs the texture of your skin to create a satiny smooth canvas.
Besides the fact that on the package it sounds amazing, I can attest to the fact that it really is. This has almost a dry oil/serum feel to it that sinks in super fast; So much so that I have no problem wearing this during the day under my makeup. This is the perfect oil for someone who is skeptical or hesitant to jump into the world of face oils (seriously though, once you add an oil into your routine you don’t go back!). When I use this oil, my skin is instantly soothed and smoothed and more even in tone. Regardless if I am having breakouts, or suffering from dryness, this do-it-all really takes care of my skin. Of course, it doesn’t help that the bottle is beautiful with its frosted glass and push-button pipette.
Compared to the original ProGenius Treatment Oil from the brand, I hands down prefer this version. While I found the original hydrating, I didn’t feel like it absorbed well for my skin. I also didn’t see the clarity and calming effect like I do with the ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue. It’s a beautiful oil whether you’re an oil aficionado or a newbie, and given that just a drop or two can do your whole face and neck, the bottle should last ages.
Do you currently use an oil in your skincare routine? If so, have you noticed the results?
