I’m thrilled to announce the Conscious Beauty Series – which will put a spotlight on brands for environmental, humanitarian and ethical, and charitable efforts. To kick this series off I thought I’d shed some light on the Aussie brand Eye of Horus Cosmetics, and one lucky winner will get to try it out for themselves!
If you haven’t heard about Eye of Horus Cosmetics, you might just want to put them on your wish list. With gorgeous gold Egyptian styled accents (the brand takes inspiration from the formulas used by the Ancient Egyptians) is not only stunning to look at, but the brand used Organic Moringa Oil which was known as the “Oil of the Pharaohs” and was acclaimed for its beautifying and regenerating qualities. The brand has also made it very clear that they put a great deal of effort into keeping their line Cruelty Free.
Animal testing is a slippery slope in the beauty world, and brands can get sneaky about claiming they don’t animal test when in fact they just don’t test the finished product on animals. Eye of Horus has made the effort to only use manufactures and ingredients that have signed certification that they have not been testing on animals, and instead test invitro in a medium of Soy Agar.
Besides this, they also get all their ingredients from both sustainable and fair traded sources all over the world, and the entire line is paraben free. Oh, and did I mention that the only animal by product in the line is beeswax?
|I raved about the Smokey Black Goddess Pencil not long ago for its great lasting time in the waterline, as seen in this look.|
