Every Winter I catch myself saying I can’t wait for the warmer months and all the gorgeous bronzey makeup collections, and then Summer comes around and all the rich tones for fall come out and I can’t wait for sweater weather. Just me?
Clarins have just released their Autumn 2015 Pretty Day and Pretty Night Collection and the rich sultry colours had me the minute I saw them.
While the Pretty Day Palette is softer neutral tones, the Pretty Night Palette* is what caught my eye with a soft nude, golden brown, bronze, smokey plum and deep intense blackened brown. The collection also features one of the Ombre Matte’s in Carbon*, a smokey black cream-to-powder formula that takes all the work out of a smokey eye look, and the Crayon Kohl in Carbon Black* which has the handiest little smudge brush on the end!
Clarins is also launching their new Joli Rouge Lipstick range in September, with 25 moisturising long wearing shades. I got my hands on #752 Rosewood and #740 Bright Coral and can vouch for the balm like feel and luminous sheen these lipsticks give (they do have a bit of a fruity scent for those of you who can’t tolerate scented cosmetics). The packaging is a gorgeous sleek gold tube with so much more of a luxurious feel and weight than the original Joli Rouge line. I will definitely be checking out the full range when it arrives next month.
What product looks the most interesting to you in this line? You might want to keep you eyes peeled, I will be giving away one of the Pretty Night Palettes here soon!
