    Spring Makeup Edit 2015

spring makeup, marc jacobs beauty the tease palette, ysl glossy stain 27, mac paint pot perky, tarte blush blissful, benefit creaseless cream rsvp, clarins instant complexion base
It’s approximately twelve days until Spring (but who’s counting?) and it’s the season where I find myself reaching for colour a bit more after a long haul of neutrals in Autumn and Winter. Here’s my picks for sunnier weather and blooming blossoms (it’s just sounds lovely, doesn’t it?)

I definitely consider this products a luxury, but the Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-con No & Plush Eyeshadow in The Tease is totally worth it if you are a purple/plum lover like me. There isn’t a dud in the whole palette and it has a gorgeous range of more neutral purples, a bright magenta tinged purple, a peach, and rich shimmering burgundy. Green eyed ladies, this one is for you!

The blush I often reach for this time of year is the warm tinged pink in Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Blissful. This was one of the first blushes in the range I bought ( I now have 9!) and it is the perfect soft brightening warm pink for that perfect glow, minus the shimmer. It just seems to go with everything.

On the eyes I love a good cream shadow, and two I find myself reaching for all the time in the Spring are Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP, a subtle sheen champagne pink, and Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Perky, a pink peach matte. Both last all day long, and make excellent bases for other shadows but hold up well on their own too.
I also love a good pop of bright eyeliner to perk things up, and Mac Chromagraphic Pencil in Rich Purple is exactly what the name says: rich purple. It’s not shimmery and has a creamy creamy texture that doesn’t drag, and smudges out nicely along lower lashes for a kick of colour.

For lips it will be no surprise that I picked my all time favourite, the YSL Rouge Pur Couture

Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain in #27 Peche Cerra Colla (seriously, so many long names in this post!) On me this is the perfect brightening peach shade. It isn’t pinky peach, or tawny peach, it’s just classic peach and I adore it. *heart eyes emoji*

Finally something that has nothing to do with colour, but really does bring that youthful Spring time feel to my makeup is the Clarins Instant Light Complexion Illuminating Base. I put a pump of this in my heavier foundations to bring some glow, or apply this to my skin post primer pre foundation to brighten things up. This is one of the few illuminating bases/primers I’ve tried that doesn’t add any sparkle, but rather a super fine sophisticated glow to the skin.

What favourites do you like to pull out for Spring?
