Whilst MAC lipsticks aren’t my most coveted lipstick formula, I can’t pass up the chance to get a couple for free! My collection has been lacking some more neutral swipe and go type shades for a while, so when I collected up 12 empties, I quickly headed to my local MAC counter to cash em in!
If you aren’t familiar with MAC’s recycling program, here’s the 411. For ever 6 empties that are plastic or glass packaging, you can pick out a free lipstick from their regular range (minus the Viva Glam lippies and the ones that come in different packaging) or if you have a Pro store near you, you can also choose from the Lipglasses and eyeshadows!
I went for two shades I’d never owned before, Pure Zen which is a creamy peach with a touch of pink, and Angel which is a pearly pink with a bit of a neutral base. It may be just me, but I feel much more at ease trying colours I wouldn’t normally go for when I know I don’t have to pay for them. Next time I might just go super bold. Maybe.
