I’ve recently become a little enamoured with the idea of matte nails. Something about being able to get two different looks out of the same polish (glossy vs flat) really appeals to me, so when I saw L’Oreal’s The Matte Velvet Top Coat the other day, I knew it was a must try!
My previous experience with matte nails wasn’t great, word like chalky and splotchy come to mind, but this top coat worked surprisingly well, smoothing over my freshly nude lacquered nails fluidly. It dried evenly, though not super fast like I am accustom to with my Seche Vite; Something to keep in mind when you need your nails to be dried like yesterday.
I’m loving it over Revlon’s Pale Cashmere right now, but I can see this looking lovely with navy, plum, and all the other Autumnal en vogue shades this season.
Utterly chic in my eyes, what do you think about the concept of matte nails?
