Charlotte Tilbury Seductive Beauty Instant Look in a Palette
One of the biggest selling points of Charlotte Tilbury’s cosmetic line is that she’s creates products for everyday women. While some brands started out creating solely for artist use (MAC, Make Up For Ever), Charlotte designed her range so that you don’t need to be a pro at makeup application to get the look you want. This is the second version of her Instant Look in a Palette, Seductive Beauty, and is aimed at having a bit more depth than the original. Similarly, though, it has the same easy to follow layout and compact portability.
The palette has 3 eyeshadows, 2 blush shades, a bronzer and face highlighter. Of course, you aren’t bound by these guidelines; All of these are powder products and can be used all over the face. The formula of these products seems even more emollient and buttery in texture than I’ve already come to love about Charlotte products. Right from the first swatch, I caught myself saying out loud, “oh this is going to be good!”. Quite often ‘face’ themed palettes do one particular thing well, but the formula is really balanced across the board here. If you’re wanting something compact to keep in your gym bag or at the office, this might just be for you!
Eyeshadow, Bronzer, Blush & Highlight in One Palette
Pigmentation is something I’ve never worried about with Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics. She knows how to walk the thin line of pigmented products that aren’t so intense they end up being hard to use. Unsurprisingly, there isn’t a dud in this palette; Each shade swatches beautifully with fingers but applies perfectly with a brush as well. Furthermore, there is more tonal depth between this and her first Instant Look Palette, which might appeal to consumers who want a variety of looks out of one palette.
All the shadow shades have a touch of shimmer to them, but I wouldn’t classify any as metallic or glittery – think sophisticated satin. If you’ve been dying to try the famed Filmstar Bronze and Glow from Charlotte for some time, then this palette would be fabulous value for money. You get the sculpting bronze shade she famously uses the term, “Follow the Hollow!”, and the gorgeous champagne highlighter. I adore both of these and the blushes are a stunning warm peach and peach that pair beautifully with the rest of the palette.
