HOLIDAY 2014 | Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet

It’s that time of year when all the holiday cosmetic sets and bundles hit the shelves, and I just can’t resist picking up one or two to play with. Mini’s and gift sets are a great way to try products out, usually at a great value. I recently took a peek at what Laura Mercier was offering this year, and happily walked away with this set of gems…

The Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Colour Quartet is a set of four of the brand’s regular range best sellers. Personally, though I enjoy a good limited edition colour, I prefer sets that have products I know I will be able to repurchase if I love, so this was already a win in my books. Even better was the $46 CND price tag to try four, when one full sized Caviar Stick will set you back $33 CND.

As you can see by the swatches above, the pigment on these are lovely (all just a single pass swatch) but I know what you’re thinking, does it last? And I’m happy to say YES – these go on so creamy and smooth and then set for all day wear. Unlike some crayon style eye pencils, these are really blendable without getting patchy or wiping the colour right off. You can really work with these for a moment or so before moving on. I find they make a lovely base, but the pigment is so consistent these easily make for a swipe and go eye look!

This is a limited edition set out for the holidays, so I suggest running to your local counter or Sephora and picking one up if it tickles your fancy. I’m thrilled I decided to take the chance and purchase this set!
